Smith Ranch Ninja Course | Eagle Mountain, Utah
Smith Ranch Regional Park is already known for its huge tower playgrounds, skate park, and wide-open turf. The city wanted one more signature feature—something that would keep teens, young adults, and fitness-minded parents just as engaged as the younger kids.
Big T Recreation partnered with Eagle Mountain City to install a Greenfields X-Treme Ninja Course: a challenging, 21-element obstacle course that feels like a real-world “ninja warrior” set. With rope climbs, swinging elements, warped walls, and balance challenges, the course turns a trip to the park into a full-body workout and a friendly competition zone.
Placed right next to the skate park and primary playground, the ninja course creates a true multi-generational hub—little kids on the slides, older siblings on the ninja obstacles, and adults getting a workout between runs.
Signature Features
- Destination-worthy fitness zone – A full ninja course, not just a couple of fitness pieces, gives Smith Ranch a stand-out attraction for older youth and adults.
- Integrated into a regional park – Located steps from the main playground, skate park, pavilion, and restrooms, the course feels like part of the larger recreation campus—not an afterthought.
- Designed for 14+ users – Obstacles are scaled and spaced for teens and adults, with enough challenge to keep experienced athletes coming back.
- Race-ready layout – The “S” configuration and repeated obstacle types allow friends and families to go head-to-head and compare times.
- Durable outdoor construction – Powder-coated steel, heavy-duty grips, and weather-resistant components are built for high traffic and year-round Utah conditions.

- Spider Web Climber – A multi-directional rope web that users can climb through, over, and across.

- Toggle Pull-Up Triangles – Moving triangle grips that combine pull-ups with swinging transitions.
- Rotating Poles & Grip Elements – Spins, twists, rings, grip balls, and cones that demand grip endurance.
- Rock Wall – A lifelike climbing wall that builds strength and route-finding skills.
- Hanging Platforms & Coins – Suspended steps and discs that turn jumping and landing into a precision skill.

Fitness & Training Benefits
Beyond the fun factor, the ninja course was designed to deliver real fitness value for the community:
- Full-body workout – Users engage upper body, core, and lower body through climbing, jumping, balancing, and hanging.
- Progressive challenge – Obstacles can be tackled individually or as a continuous run, making the course approachable for beginners and demanding for trained athletes.
- Functional movement – The layout emphasizes real-world movements like pulling, vaulting, and lateral movement, supporting sports training and general fitness.
- Cardio + strength – Repeated runs turn the course into a high-intensity interval workout without feeling like “exercise.”
