Skyline Nature Park Playground – Tooele, Utah

Skyline Nature Park in Tooele combines imaginative dinosaur-themed play, electronic outdoor play, and outdoor fitness in a natural park setting. The park was designed to give children, families, and older users several ways to move, explore, and stay active.

Big T Recreation worked with Tooele on the playground, which features Playworld® equipment including the Origins™ T-Rex play environment, NEOS® electronic play, and ENERGI® outdoor fitness. Children can climb, hide, and imagine among dinosaur bones and eggs while older users get a total-body outdoor workout option nearby.

The result is a multi-generational recreation experience that helps Tooele families spend more time together outdoors. Themed play, technology-driven movement, and outdoor fitness work together in one park to support imagination, exercise, and gathering.

Why This Playground Was a Good Fit

Skyline Nature Park needed recreation features that could support imaginative play, active movement, and fitness in one park setting. This project was a strong fit because it helped the city:

Standout Playground Features

Origins™ T-Rex Playground

The T-Rex playground turns dinosaur bones and eggs into climbable, imaginative play features. Children can climb, hide, explore, and create their own dino-hunter stories throughout the play area, giving the playground a strong sense of place and identity.

Kid-Powered Music and Energy Features

Interactive music and drum-pad features give children another way to engage with the playground. These elements add sound, creativity, and cause-and-effect play to the dinosaur theme, making the experience more sensory and rewarding.

NEOS® Electronic Play

NEOS brings fast-paced electronic games into the outdoor environment. It encourages children to move quickly, react, compete, and stay active while playing, blending the appeal of digital games with physical outdoor exercise.
