Willow Creek Park - Park City, Utah
Check out this frosty morning at Park City's first all-abilities playground.
The focus is on accessibility, allowing children with sensory or mobility needs to engage fully in the play environment. Willow Creek Park is now a symbol of community inclusivity, providing a vibrant and accessible space for everyone in Summit County.
In the video, you'll see several of our inclusive play structures. Including, a custom fishing boat designed AeroGlider™, the wildly fun Concerto musical outdoor playground equipment, and extensive wheelchair ramps. Also, take note of the all of the custom mountain themed play equipment like the mountain critter boulders and fish ladder waterfall climber.
Opened on October 17th, this project is designed to embrace inclusivity.
This groundbreaking playground goes beyond conventional designs, accommodating children of all abilities. Nature-inspired elements, sensory experiences, and wheelchair accessibility make it a unique and welcoming space for all kids to play side-by-side.
Spanning 17.5 acres, Willow Creek Park is more than just a playground. With playing fields, tennis courts, a basketball court, and a dog park, it offers diverse activities for families. The park also serves as a gateway to nature, with 66 acres of undeveloped open space connected to scenic trails. The Willow Creek trailhead provides convenient access to Snyderville Basin’s spectacular trails, making the park a welcome rest stop along the East Highway 224 Connector Trail from Park City to Kimball Junction.

We want kids who have a mobility disability—so possibly in a wheelchair—we want them to be able to get to the highest point in the playground.
Dana Jones, Basin Recreation District Director
Seeing this new playground, the kids are really excited about it. And I think, as a parent in that community, I'm most excited about the fact that it's an all-abilities playground.
Brandi Connolly, Basin Rec Board Chair
